* (Schwager) Essays
- Essay Notes on Imagery (copy and put in the Notes section of your binder)
- Be specific with the type(s) of imagery the image evokes (visual, aural, tactile, etc.)
- Quote from the poem correctly. Frost concludes, "Never again would birds' song be the same. / And to do that to birds was why she came" (13-14).
- Good MLA quoting reminders in brief.
- Provide good commentary to tie your quote back to your paragraph topic and essay thesis.
- Transition to your next paragraph.
- Follow the arc of the poem when writing (do not begin with the last image or later image, generally).
