  • Review Lost Tools Practice 5 (six sentences)

  • Do "Regrettable Sentences" paper 38 ff
    • This time, just write the error and fix the sentence (you do not write the incorrect sentence or the three ways you might fix it...just one)
* Peer Edit
  • At least two peer edits.  Editors, please check for the following:
    • Exordium (present?)
    • Look for parallelism (see the thesis especially)
    • Check the verbs (vague, passive, or cliche?)
    • Does it generally focus on one character from Antigone?  It should.
    • Does it take a side, stating and defending why that character should or should not have done something?
    • Is there a modern application somewhere?
    • Is there at least one quote in each body paragraph?  Does the quote follow the MLA format?

    • ANI Chart (15 items per column)
      • Move as many of your Interesting items into the A and N columns
      • Select either A (Affirmative) or N (Negative)
      • Then sort those items according to kind (choose your three best groups)
      • If it will help, fill out pages 30-31 (PDF 40-41) in LTOW or Write out a sentence summarizing what each group shares in common (Proof)
    • Write an outline, perfectly following the one on page 32 (PDF 42) of LTOW.
    • Finally, do 6. Regrettable Sentences, pages 38-39 (PDF 48-49) in LTOW.
